New World is in the midst of a thrilling transformation

New World is in the midst of a thrilling transformation, with the lush overgrowth and the introduction of formidable beasts in the forthcoming “Rise of the Angry Earth” expansion. Amazon has unveiled an exciting weeklong event to celebrate the expansion’s launch, featuring special streams and Twitch Drops that offer enticing rewards.

Starting on October 3rd, players can purchase the expansion and access the new updates. The event showcases a lineup of community streamers who will showcase the latest content, provide valuable tips for navigating the fresh zone, demonstrate the use of the new Flail, and engage in other entertaining activities. While the team has listed 16 community streamers, it’s worth noting that this isn’t an exhaustive list. Amazon has structured an event schedule to spotlight key features, including mounts, PvP, The Savage Divide Expedition, and the all-new Flail. The last few days of the event will allow streamers to decide their own content.

The event schedule is as follows:

Tuesday (10/3): Mount Race
Wednesday (10/4): Flail Build Bonanza
Thursday (10/5): Elysian World Tours
Friday (10/6): Savage Divide runs
Saturday (10/7): Territory Takedown
Sunday (10/8) to Tuesday (10/10): Creator's Choice

Amazon has also promised exciting rewards through Twitch Drops, with unlocks commencing on the first day of the event and continuing until the fifth day when all New World Gold Coins rewards become available. The event spans a week, providing ample time to claim every reward, extending until October 10th, with a requirement of watching 14 hours of content to unlock everything.

Here’s the breakdown of the Twitch Drops:

Day 1 Drops: Call of the Wilds Flail, Call of the Wilds Mount Attachment Skin, and Mossclad Helm (4 total hours watched)
Day 2 Drop: Mossclad Vambraces (6 total hours watched)
Day 3 Drop: Mossclad Boots (8 total hours watched)
Day 4 Drop: Mossclad Cuisses (10 total hours watched)
Day 5 Drop: Mossclad Thornvest (14 total hours watched)

Is the PvP zone getting overlooked here

Is the PvP zone getting overlooked here? The PvP region might not have gained much popularity due to the perception that PvP and Diablo aren’t inherently compatible. However, in my opinion, it stands as the best zone within the game, and I’m even drawn to play D4 primarily for that aspect. Let me explain why:

  • The zone boasts excellent density, particularly in the southern map, with a plethora of elite enemies.
  • It’s a hub of player activity. Opportune moments arise, like witnessing a player extracting seeds, prompting you to join them and assist if they’re primarily focused on PvE.
  • The area serves as a lucrative gold farming spot. The abundance of elite enemies results in numerous yellow items that can be conveniently sold in town, a mere few steps away from the zone.
  • It presents a meaningful incentive for grinding levels and items; a PvE build might not necessarily translate effectively to PvP.
  • Seeds, much like Obols, can be exchanged for items (e.g., 3k for Chest Armor, Gloves, Pants, or Boots) or skins.
  • Achieving a streak of player kills causes your name to be displayed on the map for 5 minutes, alongside earning additional seeds—a thrilling event.
  • Public events and a formidable boss contribute to the zone’s dynamic nature, fostering seed accumulation.
  • The exhilaration of defeating an elite group and then suddenly encountering a player who seeks to challenge you adds an exciting element, doesn’t it?
  • The upside of the PvP area is that your equipment isn’t destroyed upon being defeated. You respawn a short distance from the zone, merely 5 steps away.
  • The impact of being defeated isn’t paramount; acquiring seeds is relatively easy (barring moments when you possess 170k seeds and your name is showcased to everyone for 5 minutes, hehe).

Of course, the PvP area isn’t without its imperfections. Lag can sometimes be a concern, certain classes might exhibit advantages over others (Rogue being a prominent example), and some aspects might not function optimally against players. Nevertheless, the overall experience remains enjoyable.
